AUSTIN, Texas—Former Law School dean and longtime professor John F. Sutton Jr. passed away in San Angelo on Friday. He was 95 years old. The following is a statement from University of Texas at Austin President Bill Powers:
“Dean Sutton was a wonderful man who led the Law School with distinction. He was a dear friend for more than three decades, a first-rate teacher and evidence scholar and, most important, a tremendous colleague in the Law School community. I have the highest admiration for him and will miss him sorely.”
