Our Nameplate

Our UT News nameplate is a nod to our history. The typeface was inspired by the 1904 nameplate of The Texan, the original name of what is now The Daily Texan, UT’s student-run newspaper. To honor that legacy, we created an original letterform for UT News: distinctive, enduring and unmistakably Texas.
