UT Austin has received the 2015 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award (HEED) from INSIGHT into Diversity magazine for the fourth consecutive year.

Coy Wilcox has been named director for the Petroleum Extension (PETEX™), a component of the Texas Extended Campus at UT Austin.

UT Austin’s Campus Carry Policy Working Group is holding two public forums to gather comments about campus carry legislation (SB 11).

The four-year graduation rate is now 57.7 percent — the highest on record and an increase of 2.6 percentage points from the previous year. More than 500 additional undergrad students graduated on time this year when compared with five years ago.

A survey of sexual assault and misconduct at 27 university campuses across the nation shows that 23.1 percent of female undergraduates at the universities surveyed, and 18.5 percent of female undergraduates at UT Austin, reported being the victim of sexual assault by force or incapacitation since the time of their enrollment.

Gregory L. Fenves was formally inaugurated as the 29th president of UT Austin on Sept. 17 and he also delivered his first-ever State of the University address.

UT Austin has appointed Houston attorney Mike Perrin to serve as Interim Men’s Athletics Director at least through August to replace Steve Patterson, who has resigned.
