Tower Glows “63” for Documentary
No, it’s not Throwback Thursday. The Tower will glow with “63” tonight in honor of the Longhorns’ first national football title in 1963, the subject of an upcoming Longhorn Network documentary.
The University of Texas Tower will shine orange tonight, Tues., July 16, for three hours. The Tower will be lit with “63” on all sides while the Longhorn Network films a documentary commemorating the 50th anniversary of the football team’s 1963 National Championship. At the conclusion of the production, the Tower will return to its standard lighting configuration – entirely white.
