University of Texas Police Department Releases Audio and Video from Sept. 28 Shooting

In response to numerous Freedom of Information Act requests, the University of Texas Police Department (UTPD) will release copies of the following materials to media today (Oct. 13) from 3 to 5 p.m.:

In response to numerous Freedom of Information Act requests, the University of Texas Police Department (UTPD) will release copies of the following materials to media today (Oct. 13) from 3 to 5 p.m.:

  • 911 recordings
  • Perry-Castañeda Library surveillance video
  • UTPD patrol car dash cam footage

To receive your copy of this material, send a representative to the UTPD building at 2201 Robert Dedman Dr. Media representatives will be required to show press credentials.

UTPD Chief Robert Dahlstrom will be available Thursday, Oct. 14, from 10:15 to 11 a.m. in room 202 at the ATandT Executive Education and Conference Center (corner of Martin Luther King Blvd. and University Ave.). Dahlstrom will provide news media with a summary of the investigation into the death of student Colton Tooley on Sept. 28 and answer questions about the material distributed today.
