Student mentor and animal champion

McCombs School’s Louise Epstein is applying her skills as an entrepreneur to help pass a bill that regulates commercial dog and cat breeding.

Louise Epstein, entrepreneur-in-residence at the McCombs School of Business, discusses her experience working for the government as well as creating and running an Internet start-up company.

In this video, she shares her philosophy on mentoring students and her open approach to talking to state legislatures. In addition to helping students find their passion, she meets regularly with Texas representatives in order to pass a bill that would require large scale, for-profit animal breeders to adhere to minimum standards of humane animal treatment.
