The Tower at The University of Texas at Austin will be lighted orange Wednesday, May 4 in recognition of the rowing team‘s victory at the Big 12 Championships April 30 in Kansas City, Kan.
The 15th-ranked Longhorns marked their third-straight conference title after capturing the previous seven Big 12 Invitational crowns.
Rowing becomes the fourth university program during the 2010-11 athletics season to capture a Big 12 Conference championship, joining men’s swimming and diving, women’s swimming and diving and women’s golf.
