The Tower at The University of Texas at Austin will shine orange the evening of Wednesday, March 21, to recognize the McCombs School of Business MBA students — Arun Ram, Daniel Amodio, Eric Brewer and Andrew Koperwas — who won the San Diego State University International Sports MBA Case Competition that took place Feb. 9-10 in San Diego, Calif.

This year, with the London 2012 Olympic Games on the horizon, the case focused on creating a sustainable funding structure for the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).

The competitors had to come up with an idea that restructured the format of funding for the USOC. They also had to rethink the way corporate sponsorships are negotiated, allowing more companies to associate their brand with the Olympic Games, the pinnacle of global sports.
