BACKGROUND: Tom Standage is author of six books including “Writing on the Wall,” “An Edible History of Humanity,” “A History of the World in Six Glasses” and “The Victorian Internet.” The event is co-sponsored by The University of Texas at Austin’s IC² Institute, McCombs School of Business, School of Journalism and The Economist. Light refreshments will be served.

The IC² Institute is an interdisciplinary research unit of The University of Texas at Austin that works to advance the theory and practice of entrepreneurial wealth creation.
