MEDIA ADVISORY: President Fenves to Deliver State of the University Address 

President Gregory L. Fenves will deliver his third State of the University address. Fenves will outline his vision for the coming year at UT Austin.

EVENT: President Gregory L. Fenves will deliver his third State of the University address. Fenves will outline his vision for the coming year at The University of Texas at Austin.

WHEN: 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12

WHERE: McCollough Theatre, Performing Arts Center, 2375 Robert Dedman Drive

WHO MAY ATTEND: The event is open to the public and members of the media, including broadcast media. All members of the UT Austin community are invited.

BROADCASTS AND ONLINE VIEWING: The president’s State of the University address will be broadcast live starting at 2:45 p.m. on the Longhorn Network. A captioned live stream will be available at www.ustream.tv/channel/utaustin-cc. Other media are invited to broadcast the speech.

BACKGROUND: When he was inaugurated in 2015 as the 29th president of The University of Texas at Austin, Fenves laid out a vision of advancing the university by educating leaders, accelerating research and transforming health care. In his third State of the University address, the president will introduce new initiatives in all three of these areas.
