When the Longhorns play Notre Dame on Sept. 5, students who can’t make the trip to South Bend, Ind., will watch the game from the Forty Acres — just as they did in 1934 when the Longhorns beat Notre Dame, 7-6. See how students watched the game before televisions more than 80 years ago.

New students arriving at UT Austin will gather in front of the UT Tower to celebrate “Gone To Texas,” the official welcome for incoming students by the Office of the President, on Aug. 25.

UT Austin will welcome more than 7,400 students from 46 states, 51 countries and six continents to the Forty Acres during “Mooov-In.”
