University of Texas at Austin students will have an opportunity to say “thank you” to the more than 271,000 donors who gave $3.12 billion during the Campaign for Texas at the university’s fifth annual “Thanks Day.”

Approximately 750 Texas high school students will receive scholarship offers worth at least $20,000 over a four-year period through Texas Advance, a new University of Texas at Austin initiative aimed at supporting economically disadvantaged students across the state who are at the top of their class.

Lorraine J. Haricombe has been selected as the new vice provost and director of libraries at The University of Texas at Austin. Haricombe currently serves as the dean of libraries at the University of Kansas.
