Lawrence (Larry) Abraham, associate dean of the School of Undergraduate Studies at The University of Texas at Austin, has been appointed interim dean of the school, effective Sept. 1.

The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health has awarded the $20,000 Harry E. and Bernice M. Moore Fellowship to Esther Sullivan, a doctoral candidate in sociology from The University of Texas at Austin.

Paul Woodruff, inaugural dean of the School of Undergraduate Studies since 2006, announced this week that he plans to step down from his post, effective Aug. 31. An interim dean will be named in the coming weeks, and a national search will be held for a new dean.
