The personal archive of publisher, author and artist Fleur Cowles has been donated to the Harry Ransom Center, a humanities research library and museum at The University of Texas at Austin.

Bill Powers, president of The University of Texas at Austin, presented a check for $725,000 to the Austin Community Foundation Thursday, Oct. 20, representing the net proceeds from the Oct. 17 “Fire Relief: The Concert for Central Texas” at the university’s Frank Erwin Center.

The Harry Ransom Center, a humanities research library and museum at The University of Texas at Austin, has acquired the archive of Nobel Prize-winning writer and University of Texas at Austin alumnus J. M. Coetzee. Spanning more than 50 years, the archive traces the author’s life and career from 1956 through the present.
