The Tower will shine orange the evening of May 10 to honor the women’s tennis team for earning the Big 12 Championship title.

Ward Farnsworth, associate dean for academic affairs at Boston University School of Law, has been named dean of the School of Law at The University of Texas at Austin.

As part of a strategic plan to increase its four-year graduation rate, UT Austin has appointed a graduation rate champion. 

On May 8, the Tower lights with a No. 1 honor the School of Law’s national championship at the Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition.

The Tower will shine orange the evening of May 7 to honor the women’s rowing team for earning their fourth-straight Big 12 Championship title.

On the night of UT Remembers, Friday, May 4, the Tower will be darkened in remembrance of university community members who died in the past year.

On May 3, the Tower lights will honor the recipients of the 2012 President’s Staff Awards, including Staff Service and Outstanding Staff and Supervisor.

UT Remembers, a day of remembrance honoring 174 members of the university community students and current and retired faculty and staff members who died during the previous year, will be observed Friday, May 4, at The University of Texas at Austin.

International energy company Statoil has awarded fellowships to eight graduate students from The University of Texas at Austin, funding their research in geology, geophysics and petroleum engineering.

On April 30, the Tower will shine orange to recognize the Texas Rock Climbing Club’s national championship victory at the Collegiate Climbing Series.

The Tower will be orange the evening of Thursday, April 26, in honor of the alumni of the Class of 1962 and their 50-year reunion.
