From educators to politicians, business leaders to students, more than 65 groups have written to the U.S. Supreme Court backing UT Austin’s position in Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin.

Faculty and university leadership convened to celebrate and honor the 2015 inductees into the Academy of Distinguished Teachers at UT Austin. The academy recognizes significant contributions to improving the quality and depth of the student experience at UT Austin.  

Getting a college degree is a huge life step, and for many students it is also their first big financial investment. Scholarship programs can help offset some of the cost while also offering travel opportunities, networking and leadership skills.

In a ceremony filled with the presidential emblems, sweeping views of the Forty Acres and music from university and community ensembles, Gregory L. Fenves was formally inaugurated as the 29th president of The University of Texas at Austin on Sept. 17.

As summer comes to a close and students are returning to the Forty Acres, we’re looking back at how some Longhorns spent time studying abroad. In 78 countries across the globe, these students experienced an adventure-filled summer. 

Eleven faculty members from UT Austin have been chosen to receive 2015 Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Awards by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System.
